Last Updated: February 11, 2022

Etiometry Inc. (“Etiometry”, “us”, “we”, or “our”) respects the privacy of visitors to its websites located at www.etiometry.com (“Site”) and is committed to the protection of their personal information. This Privacy Policy explains data collection and use practices of Etiometry and its subsidiaries. It also explains your choices regarding our use of your personal data and how you can access and update any information you choose to provide.

This Site is intended and designed to be utilized by adults and is not directed toward children under the age of 13. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child, we will delete that information in accordance with your data protection rights as soon as is reasonably possible. If you believe we might have any information from a child, please contact us at info@etiometry.com .

How Etiometry Collects Your Information

Information You Provide Directly. When you contact us through the Site, we will collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message. We use the information you provide to respond to your message. We may also use this information to contact you regarding our Site and services, including marketing communications.

Automatically Collected Information. Our Site also automatically collects non-personally identifiable information about you and the device you use when you access our Site to help us understand and analyze trends in connection with usage of the Site. For example, the Site may automatically collect the  Internet Protocol (IP) address associated with your device, which is a set of numbers that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you log on to your internet service provider or through your organization’s local area network (LAN) or wide area network (WAN). Web servers automatically identify your computer by the IP address assigned to it during your session online. Etiometry, or third-party companies acting on behalf of Etiometry, may collect IP addresses for the purposes of systems administration and to audit the use of this Site. We do not ordinarily link a user’s IP address to the personally identifiable information of that user, which means that each user’s session will be logged, but the user remains anonymous to us. However, we may use IP addresses to identify users of this Site when we feel it is necessary to enforce compliance with the Site’s Terms of Use, or to protect our service, Site or other users.

The information we collect automatically is used primarily to help us understand and analyze trends in connection with usage of the Site. We may also use your data to detect and prevent issues relating to security and fraudulent activity, consistent with our legitimate business interest to prevent such issues. In addition, we may use your information to customize content we may send or display on the Site to personalize your experience and assess, improve and develop our Site, business, and professional offerings, and for similar research and analytics purposes.

Aggregated Information. Where permitted by applicable law, we may also use anonymous, de-identified, or aggregate information that does not reasonably identify you for any purpose.

Cookies

This Site uses a technology called “cookies” to facilitate the delivery of services to you and to understand and preserve your personal preferences. Cookies are small pieces of information sent to your browser from a website that are stored in text files on your device (e.g., your PC, laptop or mobile). Cookies help provide additional functionality to the Site or help us analyze usage of the Site more accurately. For instance, our server may set a cookie that keeps you from having to enter a password more than once during a visit to the Site. In all cases in which cookies are used, we will not collect personally identifiable information without your permission. The only personally identifiable information Etiometry collects is the information you voluntarily provide. You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most Internet Browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies, or receive a warning before a cookie is stored, if you prefer. Please refer to your Internet Browser’s instructions or help screen to learn more about these functions. If you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to fully experience the interactive features of this Site or any other websites that you visit.

We may transfer your information if we are involved in a merger, sale, acquisition, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, bankruptcy or other change of ownership or control, including without limitation, during the course of any due diligence process.

  • To Enforce Legal Rights. We may also share information to investigate, prevent, or take other action regarding illegal activity, suspected fraud, violation of our terms or legal rights, or other wrongdoing.

Where permitted by applicable law, we may use and share non-personal information (meaning information that, by itself, does not identify who you are such as device information, general demographics, general behavioral data, geolocation in de-identified form), as well as personal information in hashed, non-human readable form, under any of the above circumstances.
