News and Press Releases

BOSTON, December 1st, 2020 – Etiometry, the leader in clinical decision-support software for critical care, has had multiple research projects accepted for presentation at the 16th Annual International Meeting of the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Society (PCICS), which is being held virtually, Dec. 9-11. Etiometry’s clinical decision-support platform includes FDA-cleared risk algorithms, automatically collected comprehensive physiologic data and vital signs, and permanently stored data in an easily accessible format to support meaningful clinical research.

More than 150 abstracts were submitted to the 2020 conference. Among the top five abstracts being presented December 9th are Dr. Qalab Abbas’, from Aga Khan University Hospital, findings on “Performance of a Predictive Analytic Tool (Index of Tissue Oxygen Delivery ‘IDO2’) in Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit of a Developing Country.”

Additional work supported by the Etiometry Platform being presented at this year’s conference includes research on data omissions in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) of critically ill patients as well as driving efficiencies in clinical rounding and communications using Etiometry’s automated data collection and aggregation system.

“Improving patient outcomes while decreasing clinician workloads is our top priority. We continue to achieve this goal by better utilizing the billions of data points surging through the ICU at any time. Etiometry is empowering clinicians by transforming critical care data into clinical insights,” explained Etiometry CEO, Shane Cooke.
