Shane Cooke

Shane Cooke

President & Chief Executive Officer

Shane Cooke joined Etiometry in 2019 as President & CEO, bringing over 20 years of experience in the medical device and pharmaceutical market spaces in a variety of sales, marketing, strategy and portfolio management roles. Before joining Etiometry, Shane spent 5+ years as Chief Strategy Officer of Cheetah Medical, which was acquired by Baxter International in 2019. Prior to Cheetah, Shane spent 11 years with Covidien in the patient care, vascular therapies and corporate sectors, with positions such as: corporate strategy, market and competitive intelligence, leading the market development center of excellence and leading strategy efforts for Japan, Europe, Australia and Canada. Shane holds a BA in psychology from the University of Rochester, as well as an MBA from Suffolk University.

Evan Butler

Evan Butler

Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder

Evan Butler is an engineer and entrepreneur who co-founded Etiometry in 2010. Previously, he worked at Boston Children’s Hospital in the Pediatric Cardiac Bioengineering Laboratory designing, building and testing novel surgical robots and tools. Evan was also a NASA GSRP Fellow with Dryden Flight Research Center, and created intelligent flight control systems. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Physics and Aerospace Engineering, and his Masters degree in Dynamics and Control Engineering from Boston University. Evan has published conference papers, journal articles and a book chapter in the fields of medical predictive analytics, concentric tube robots and tools for minimally-invasive beating heart surgery, and intelligent flight control systems. Evan has received multiple awards, including the 2010 IEEE Transactions on Robotics Best Paper Award.

Dimitar Baronov, PhD

Dimitar Baronov, PhD

Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder

Dimitar Baronov is a co-founder of Etiometry and leads the company’s research and development organization. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Technical University in Sofia, Bulgaria and a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Boston University. Before co-founding Etiometry, Dimitar developed a theory for optimal human-machine interaction in achieving complex tasks. This work informed the U.S. Air Force, and provides a basis for Etiometry’s innovative approach to integrating analytics into medical care. As CTO of Etiometry, Dimitar is the lead designer of the Etiometry Platform that quantifies clinical risks based on continuous streams of physiologic data. He has also served as the Principal Investigator for several National Institute of Health grants.

Howard Brick

Chief Strategy Officer

Howard Brick joined Etiometry in 2021 as Chief Strategy Officer, bringing over 20 years of experience in healthcare technology-related information and analytics companies in a variety of executive, commercial, and corporate development roles. Before joining Etiometry, Howard consulted to and advised medical technology and digital health companies on strategic partnering, financing, and go-to market strategies. Prior roles included SVP of Business Development for Senscio Systems, Managing Director at Ferghana Partners and Managing Director, COO and then CEO of MedPanel, a market intelligence provider to the life sciences industry and to life sciences-focused investors. Prior to his career in the healthcare vertical, he worked in mortgage banking analytics and practiced law in Boston. Howard holds a B.A. from Dartmouth College and a J.D. from Columbia University Law School.

Brad Rosenblum, CPA, MBA

Brad Rosenblum, CPA, MBA

Chief Financial Officer

Brad Rosenblum joined Etiometry in 2021 as Chief Financial Officer with over 25+ years of senior financial management experience. He is the principal owner of a financial consulting firm. Brad has a demonstrated record of building lean, scalable operations, sound financial strategies, and managing cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, and research groups, in executing plans and creating value for stakeholders. Before joining Etiometry, Brad has worked in various public and private life science and technology organizations. Brad was also the initial CFO for the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center overseeing a portfolio of 40 early-stage companies and managing $650MM in investments. Brad has led or been involved with over 20 mergers, acquisitions, and financings valued at over $500MM. Brad earned his BBA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, an MBA from Boston University, and holds an active CPA license from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

 Zeke Oakley

Zeke Oakley

Vice President of Engineering

Zeke Oakley has over a decade of experience working with real-time data acquisition and processing systems. He received his Master’s Degree in Dynamics and Control Engineering from Boston University, where he focused on real-time communication within distributed sensor networks. He began his career working at Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging where he developed streamlined MEG and EEG data processing workflows and interactive experimental procedures. At Etiometry, he has worked as a Principal Systems Engineer, responsible for architecting and implementing many of the company’s core technologies. Zeke brings a fundamental understanding of Etiometry’s products and services, and a strong inter-disciplinary background to the company’s software design and development processes.

Nick Fleming-Wood

Vice President of Sales

As Vice President of Sales, Nick Fleming-Wood is charged with leading the sales team to evangelize the Etiometry platform and help more hospital critical care units benefit from the efficiencies of AI-based clinical decision support. He brings more than 25 years of experience in sales, all of which have been in the healthcare arena – including executive positions at Siemens, Phillips, Zoll and EarlySense – and comprising roles in enterprise hospital sales, remote and virtual care, critical care, cardiology and radiology. His impressive professional track record includes building high-performance sales teams that focus on materially improving healthcare with solutions that help customers thrive. His transformative approach has driven significant growth for startups, mid-sized companies and organizations with a global presence. Nick earned a BA in business administration and a BA in economics from Southern Methodist University in Dallas.

Chelsea Adams, MHA, BSN, RN, CCRN

Vice President of Customer Success

As Vice President of Customer Success, Chelsea Adams leads the clinical specialists and project management professionals who are responsible for implementing, onboarding, and providing ongoing enablement to help high-acuity care teams thrive with clinical intelligence. As a veteran operations leader, Chelsea has delivered incredible customer experience and clinical excellence programs at organizations such as Duke University Medical Center, Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, UNC Healthcare, Butterfly Network and CRMNext. She earned a Master of Health Administration and Public Policy from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in Nursing from Old Dominion University in Virginia. Chelsea is a Registered Nurse, Certified Critical Care Nurse, Certified Emergency Registered Nurse and a Six Sigma Purple Belt.

Tim Hanson

Tim Hanson

VP of QA/RA

Tim Hanson is a seasoned professional with 25 years of experience in leading roles in the quality development and regulatory sciences of software as a medical device, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and combination products. Prior to joining Etiometry, he was a Senior Quality Manager and site Management Representative at DUSA, a Sun Pharma company. Over the course of his career, he has held senior engineering roles working with St. Jude Medical, Boston Scientific, QIAGEN, and Teleflex Medical. Tim holds a Master of Science in Bioinformatics from Johns Hopkins University, an MBA from the University of Phoenix, and, three Bachelor of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, and Accounting from North Dakota State University.
